As a track manager, it is important to know exactly what railwaymaterials are in the network you manage and what their condition is. These insights provide useful information for organizing preventive maintenance. Something that can be planned even more effectively if there is uniformity of products in the track. HTM (Den Hague Tram Operator) was looking for a uniform application of point machines in the RandstadRail area. We made an assessment inventory of the area for them. The insights from this assessment prompted HTM to start the conversion of its old systems to the voestalpine UNISTAR HR point machine.
Therefore, we offered a training programme to the mechanics of HTM. Thanks to the training, they now know exactly how to convert the point machines themselves.
Last autumn, HTM, voestalpine Signaling Sainerholz GmbH and our team started replacing the point machines in the RandstadRail area. We are proud of this fine collaboration. By combining our expertise, we have developed a working method that contributes to creating uniformity in the RandstadRail area.
Would you like more information about the new type of point machine UNISTAR HR? If so, please contact Rob van de Grift.
The UNISTAR HR has been installed for more than 2.500 times in 30 different countries in different climate zones. It meets the strictest safety requirements of ProRail and the Deutsche Bahn.
Lightrailbeheerder HTM vroeg ons om hulp. Voor het gebied Randstadrail inventariseerden we alle wissels en brachten we de benodigde informatie digitaal in kaart.
